As part of its mission, HHEC constructed a
30,000 square foot building on-site at the
Las Americas Apartments in 1999.
HHEC invested millions to build a facility that
would provide on-site education for students
and their parents. By combining affordable
housing and affordable on-site education,
families have the opportunity to become more
involved in their children's education.
Parents don't have to worry about busing their 4
and 5 year olds to other schools.
Our education component involves
collaborating with charter schools who
partake in our mission as a whole.
