In 1995 HHEC was awarded the Federal
Housing Commissioner’s Award for
recognition in establishing a Safe
Neighborhood Action Plan community and
for it’s efforts in collaborating with the City
of Houston Parks and Recreation
Department to bring swimming lessons
and the summer lunch programs to the
property.
